Gelato Messina rebrands Creative and Snackbar as Erin
Gelato Messina is rebranding its Marrickville HQ dining experience.
From Thursday, March 20, its Creative degustations experience and the Sunday pop-up Snackbar will transform into the more relaxed and permanent venue Erin.
Unlike the highly sought-after Creative degustations, which required advance bookings, Erin will welcome both walk-ins and reservations for flexible seating times from Thursday to Sunday. The new venue which takes over the former Creative space and spills out into the store, will offer à la carte dining and six-course set menus, with every dish featuring Messina’s signature frozen twist.
Named after Messina’s Erindale farm in Victoria, where all of its Jersey milk is produced, Erin’s menu will incorporate ingredients from the farm itself. Dishes include brioche garlic bread with honey, thyme, and black garlic gelato, Jersey beef tartare with parmigiano and jalapeño sorbet, and octopus with roasted capsicum, chickpea, and romesco sorbet.
Erin will also serve gelato-infused cocktails, such as a pepperoni Negroni and a martini inspired by Messina’s Nicky Glasses flavour (salted caramel and coffee). A curated selection of local wines and beers will feature, including Moo-Tang, a custom white wine made in collaboration with Doom Juice, available for dining in or takeaway.
