Foodservice Australia – the place to experience innovation

The first thing visitors want to know at a trade exhibition is “What’s new?”

At Foodservice Australia 2013, the answer is – “Plenty!”

This year’s Foodservice Australia promises to unveil some of the most innovative products available for restaurants, hotels, bars, cafés, caterers and quick service restaurants. Here is just a taste of what’s on offer….

Convenient and safe charcoal BBQ

The new JOSPER Charcoal BBQ/Oven, available in a range of sizes, brings the great taste of barbeque to any outdoor or semi-enclosed area.

The JOSPER does not need wired electrical supply, plumbing or gas, as it is completely charcoal fired in an enclosed box. It is easy to install under a conventional commercial canopy that vents to the outside.

A unique spark arrestor eliminates the risk of sparks rising through the flue and into the canopy, virtually eliminating any risk of fire.

All chefs will enjoy experimenting with the charcoal flavours available, perfect for fish and fillets, steaks up to 1.3kg, mussels and shellfish, and many other dishes.

Lid to fit any cup

The environmentally friendly Cup-To-Grow range has a convenient new feature with a lid that will fit any of its cups.

This sustainable alternative to traditional take-away paper cups is lined with a bioplastic lining PLA (poly-lactic-acid) harvested from cornstarch, a renewable resource, rather than a petroleum-based lining.

Choosing these cups is a big step towards sustainable food service for any small café, restaurant, office or large corporation looking to minimize their carbon footprint.

The new lids will save space and money, while reducing inventory – and the minimum order for custom print cups is just 10.000 per size.

Stylish wooden baking moulds

These attractive wooden baking moulds are brand new to the Australian market, making it easy to bake and serve in the same container.

Offering a rustic style and charm, these baking moulds can be baked up to 440°F/220°C and are ideal for both sweet and savoury recipes.

They are manufactured from natural, renewable wood using sustainable forestry practices that do not damage the environment, and the moulds are 100% natural and biodegradable.
