Fox Sports brings the Olympics to pubs

Fox Sports Venues has teamed up with platform partner Foxtel to offer pubs and clubs the most comprehensive coverage of an Olympic Games ever seen in Australia when London 2012 starts on July 28.

The one off, pay per view-type subscription being offered by Fox Sports Venues involves eight new, dedicated Olympic Games channels which will operate 24/7 and broadcast 1100 hours of live content and 2100 hours of extensive replay coverage.

Fox Sports Venues is offering a 30 percent discount on the package if venues subscribe before July 27.

Ben Campbell, Head of Commercial at Fox Sports Venues, said due to the extensive nature of the coverage, venues will have the opportunity to utilise the drama and excitement from the Olympic Games to their advantage.

"With eight dedicated channels showing every sport and every gold medal live, you can keep everyone happy, all the time," Campbell said.

"I want all of our (subscribing) venues to have control over which Olympic events their customers want to see, when they want to see them and in the stunning High Definition quality they deserve to be seen in. There's nothing worse than missing an Aussie Gold."

The total broadcast from London includes three weekends of coverage allowing venues to attract people throughout the entire weekend, day and night.

"Our coverage will also be live and in full which will allow venues to attract people for the duration of an entire event or match. We will also broadcast all the action during the heats and finals," Campbell said.
