Stockade Brew opens new venue

The Stockade Brew Co has been making big inroads since it launched in 2016.

It has had a real impact on the craft brewing industry.

Just over the last two years, Stockade has won 50 Australian beer awards.

And it’s something of a presence in the Australasian Beer SpecTAPular awards. It’s produced some really distinctive drops for that..

And now, it has announced it is opening its own joint.

The new Stockade venue will be located in Sydney's booming craft beer suburb from this Thursday, June 14.

Stockade is creating the new space in an old factory in Marrickville.

It will have a production brewery and a bar.

And it will offer communal dining space for 250 customers.

And for those wanting private parties, there will be a 14-person tasting room.

The new venue has been designed by by RAD Studios.

They have fitted it out with terracotta tiles and blackbutt timber furniture.

And the designers have worked to give the industrial space an art deco feel.

The custom-built bar made with up-cycled barrels and lightbox menu boards just adds to that.

Stockade's core five beers will be on offer.

Added to that will be the the brewery's out-there seasonal releases.

Punters will be able to enjoy Stockade’s maple syrup-infused imperial stout.  It will be available exclusively at the venue.

And those attending the launch will be enjoy the award-winning imperial stout Old Money whch will be on tap for the event.

Urban Winery Sydney will be providing the wines.  They will be blended on-site in Stockade barrels.

There will also be hop-infused cocktails using spirits from Australian craft distilleries. Examples include Hop Dreams featuring a combination of gin and house-made citrus liqueur.

As for food, there will be American burger truck Baby Rey's as well as pan-Asian Tsuru, Grease 'n' Grind and La Raza Mexican Cantina.
