Macro Wholefoods Market Organic Biodynamic Almonds: product recall

The NSW Food Authority advises:

Woolworths Ltd are recalling some batches of their Macro Wholefoods organic biodynamic almonds sold in Woolworths, Safeway, Food For Less, Flemings Supermarkets and Thomas Dux Grocers nationally.

The batches are being recalled due to the potential presence of Salmonella, which can cause food poisoning.

The recalled product and batches are:

Macro Wholefoods Market Organic Biodynamic Almonds, 250g resealable plastic packaging with 'best before' dates 16/02/13, 03/03/13, 17/03/13

The recall applies only to the above products.

Consumers should not consume the products.

Consumers can return the product to the place of purchase for a refund.

Anyone concerned about their health should seek medical advice. Symptoms caused by Salmonella can include headache, fever, abdominal cramps, diarrhoea, vomiting and nausea.
