Surry Hills pub The White Horse put on the market for undisclosed sum

The White Horse pub in Sydney’s Surry Hills has been put on the market.

Listed for sale through Savills agent Tony Bargwanna, the pub is advertised as earning more than $500,000 a year in rental income from the current tenant Prosper Roster.

The landmark pub was opened in the 1930s but it wasn’t until 2004 that the pub had its iconic stallion by artist Andy Scott added to the roof.

A decade later licensee Steven Hiles signed a 12-year lease, and the hotel was bought by Precision Group for $5.5 million in 2018.

The White Horse is being offered for sale via an expressions of interest campaign set to close on September 25.
