New Irish pub to open in Perth beach suburb Scarborough
The team behind Irish pub Durty Nelly’s are opening a new venue on Scarborough’s foreshore in Perth.
Slated to open this November, The Galway Hooker will have a capacity of 300 people and marks ARK Group’s third venture on the foreshore alongside Scarborough Beach Bar and The Peach Pit.
The pub will be stocked with Australia’s largest Irish whiskey selections, with more than 70 available, alongside a Guinness only cool room.
Venue manager Paul Moloney said they have gone to great lengths to feature the iconic trademarks of an Irish Pub, shipping much of it over from Ireland.
“The venue will play host to cosy nooks, snugs, a live stage for the bands and an elevated alfresco area... at the heart of the venue is an actual Galway Hooker boat,” he said.
