Western Sydney’s Cabramatta Hotel unveils its new look

The Cabramatta Hotel has unveiled its new look after a multimillion-dollar renovation.

The western Sydney hotel has added a beer garden and up-market bistro to the mix, along with a new cocktail menu.

Venue manager Kevin Green said the 131-year-old landmark hotel was often the first pub locals had a drink in or even met their girlfriends and now wives in.

“We really wanted to maintain the essence of the venue,” he told the Daily Telegraph.

Redcape Hotel Group spent more than $10 million overhauling the pub, which saw new steel beams put in. The new family friendly beer garden has a roof that can be opened or closed depending on the weather.

“We’re seeing a lot more people and a lot more interest now that we’ve become a family friendly venue,” he said. “The restaurant has opened more opportunities.”

New bistro Taste of Shanghai’s Seek & Stone was added in response to the changing appetites of Cabramatta’s locals, with dishes such as Barramundi in sweet and sour sauce, and Wonton dumplings drizzled in red chilli sauce on the menu.
