High end Bondi venue goes into administration

Pacific Club Bondi Beach has gone into administration despite spending $2 million on a fit out when it launched just over a year ago.

Co-owned by seasoned hospitality veterans Matt Williams and Frederic Luvisutto, the high end eaterie had high hopes of success when it opened on Campbell Parade last July.

Dreamtime Australia Design was tasked with the design, sparing no expense on the venue’s extravagant fit out which included hand-carved tiles from India, a mosaic mural and a bespoke fire place.

The venue also had also attracted top front line talent in the shape of chef Bret Cameron (ex-Harvest Newrybar) and 2016 Australian Bartender of the Year Michael Chiem.

Hogan Sprowles were appointed as administrators this week, with an initial creditors meetings planned for 31 October.

“The business will continue to trade during the voluntary administration,” administrator Christian Sprowles said.
