Pub and hotel part of $21m plans for Edmondson Park development

Hotelier Peter De Angelis’ family operation DHI Group have lodged plans for a new pub and hotel in Sydney’s Edmondson Park.

The $21 million plan includes a pub and 26 serviced apartments in one of southwest Sydney’s newest communities.

Located on a 8883sqm site near the intersection of Camden Valley Way and Bernera Rd, the development would also include conference and gym facilities, and one level of basement parking with 66 car spaces.

A single-storey pub next to the 24-hour hotel would feature a restaurant, outdoor dining areas, gaming area and a sports bar.

“The combination of population growth, improved local, regional and international connectivity combined with increased employment opportunity will require significant supporting development including the provision of short stay accommodation (serviced apartments) to cater to the new international airport and Badgerys Creek Aerotropolis,” the report stated.

The plans are currently under preliminary assessment.
