Amora Hotel Riverwalk Melbourne prepares to unveil $5m makeover

The makeover of the ground floor of Amora Hotel Riverwalk Melbourne in Richmond is almost complete with a reconfiguration of the space to include brand new public, dining and function spaces.

The $5 million refurbishment by the Technē Architects, which includes new reception, lobby, lobby bar, restaurant (The Reserve Restaurant), courtyard and courtyard bar, will be launched on November 30.

The refurbishment also includes the complete retransformation of the former marquee area into an Events Pavilion with a capacity for up to 350 people, which can also be divided into three separate spaces.

The hotel will also be joined by new executive chef Sumit Kumud (ex-Amora Hotel Wellington), who will oversee all new function and dining menus.

“Our restaurant and bar areas really embrace the modern Melbourne feel, and our new menus which are launching soon are exciting and innovative,” said hotel general manager Tim Bilston.

“The new function spaces are so flexible, with the addition of the events pavilion space that can be split into three separate spaces as well as four new private dining areas, we can accommodate everyone.”
