New boutique hotel opens in Sydney’s inner west
Marsden Hotel has opened a second boutique hotel in inner western Sydney’s Burwood.
Marsden Hotel marks the first luxury hotel to open in the suburb in over a decade. It follows the successful launch of the first Marsden Hotel in Parramatta last year.
David Johnston has been appointed as general manager.
“We’ve spared no expense with this latest venture, to create a hotel to rival the best in the CBD, where the genuine care and comfort of our guests is our highest priority,” said Johnston.
“Guests can expect the best in personal service and facilities, from our meticulously crafted rooms, to impeccable dining experiences.”
The Marsden Hotel features 90 rooms equipped with bespoke furnishings and fixtures.
“The hotel encapsulates our vision to bring an air of indulgence and grandeur to an unexpected destination, creating new experiences for guests and locals to marvel at every turn,” Johnston said.
“We’ve combined old and new, embracing modern architectural elements and décor, whilst celebrating the history of Australia through the incorporation of wood from the original ANZAC bridge in the wall panelling of our restaurant.”
The hotel is also home to a rooftop pool and bar, restaurant and artisan patisserie, all of which are open to the public. Other amenities include a fitness centre, function spaces and conference rooms.
The Onyx Grill is headed up by ex-Quay chef and Ireland native Connor Plunkett. The Artisaint patisserie uses traditional French pastry-making methods to create a selection of croissants, pain au chocolat, tarts, macarons and baguettes. Guests and locals can also head up to the Skye Rooftop Bar and Pool which offers a bespoke food and drink menu.
