Ballarat burger venue to open new eaterie at Delacombe Town Centre

A popular Ballarat burger restaurant is expanding to the neighbouring town of Delacombe, with a new eaterie opening in the space formerly occupied by Food Ruckers.

New venue Dr Fill is an extension of Griffin Burger, according to owner Sam Griffin.

"When the opportunity arose in that space at Delacombe Town Centre we jumped on it pretty quickly,” he told The Courier.

"Dr Fill is really an extension of Griffin Burger... all the menu items are things we trialed as special menu items at Griffin Burger that went really well, at times too well.

"We put all those concepts aside for what became Dr Fill and because the space already has a bar we decided to expand into cocktails and coffee while keeping all the same values we've always championed at Griffin Burger."

Griffin said they have already seen a great response from the local community on social media.

“I think people can relate to our brand because we try and have a bit of fun on social media,” he told The Courier.

Delacombe Town Centre manager Garrath Holdstock said they are confident the new venue is “going to be pretty strong".

Dr Fill is slated to open in early February.
