SouthTrade ramping up in Queensland

SouthTrade International has appointed Paul Desbiens to the new position of Queensland Key Account Manager, with responsibility for the distributor's Top 50 accounts in the state.

Desbiens joined SouthTrade two years ago from Diageo Canada. In that time he has managed both the Gold Coast and Brisbane CBD territories.

"He has had a number of major wins for the business, has been an invaluable and loyal member of the Queensland team, has worked tirelessly to achieve his objectives, and richly deserves this promotion," SouthTrade said in a statement.

In the past 18 months SouthTrade has built up its Queensland team to comprise a state manager and two sales representatives in addition to Desbiens' new role.

The company expects to have a team of six in the state by the end of this year, with the upcoming appointments of a third sales representative as well as a brand ambassador.
