First stage of Geelong mega development to open in July

A new hotel and conference centre are part of planned mega development Armstrong Creek Town Centre in Geelong.

Developers Welsh Group are behind the 40-hectare development that features a medical centre, apartments, shops and cafes connected to the public library and adjacent town square.

A hotel, conference centre and spa overlooking the natural wetlands are also on the plans.

Stage 1 of the new $1 billion Armstrong Creek Town Centre is set to open in July.

Speaking to the Geelong Advertiser, Greater Geelong Mayor Stephanie Asher said the new Armstrong Creek Town Centre will be “a vibrant destination that provides a range of experiences, services and facilities”.
