New operator for Kangaroo Point cliff-top cafe
A Kangaroo Point cliffs cafe has been leased to a new operator less than two years after it last changed hands.
Brisbane City Council has awarded the lease for the River Terrace site to Fortitude Valley-based Bellissimo Coffee. Currently occupied by Bar Spritz, the site includes a building and alfresco dining area.
Bellissimo has been granted an eight-year lease with an annual base rent of $110,000 reviewed each year at the lower figure of CPI or 2.5 per cent.
Bellissimo was one of seven applicants for the tender and was picked because it had "demonstrated proven success" in delivering similar cafe operations and offered a "clear vision" for the site.
