New dining precinct opens in Sydney’s eastern suburbs

A new dining precinct has opened in Sydney’s Randwick, with some well-known names in the mix.

Four new venues have launched in the first phase of new food, retail and residential hub Newmarket Dining.

Baccomatto Osteria has relocated from Surry Hills while Redfern’s Rara Ramen has opened a second venue.

Joining the mix are Juicery Cali Press and Cafe Mckenzie, which serves coffee and Middle Eastern dishes.

RaRa has a Tokyo vibe, with neon lighting and high stools lining the bar and kitchen. It also features a noodle-making machine for its ramen signature dishes.

Baccomatto Osteria closed its Surry Hills venue in September, but owner Mauro Marcucci has relocated its original team to prepare the handmade pasta the venue is known for.

A second set of restaurants will open in the coming months.
