Plans for cargo container cafes at Canberra dining precinct

Plans are afoot to open two new cafes housed in shipping containers in a popular dining precinct in Canberra.

A development application has been submitted for the installation of two shipping container cafes in Woden's Bradley Street dining precinct.

The plans also include outdoor seating which will connect "existing ground level shop entrances and restaurants with this modern alfresco dining option".

They will be "designed and crafted to a high standard with a selection of materials and colours to enliven the otherwise dull section of Bradley Street" the application says.

The precinct is already home The Bavarian, Fenway Public House, Sushi Musa and North East, with the application stating the new cafes will liven up the western side of Bradley Street next to Westfield Woden shopping centre.
