Olives pip pineapple as Australia’s most disliked pizza topping

Olives have knocked universally loathed pineapple off the list as Australia's most hated pizza topping.

The latest survey by Menulog that tracked 3.6 million pizza orders showed olives were the most disliked pizza topping, followed by pineapple and then onions.

But pineapple was also the most requested topping to added to pizzas, helped by pizza lovers in South Australia whose love of Hawaiian pizzas (ham and pineapple) made it the most ordered pizza in the state (15 per cent).

Nationally the Margherita was the most ordered pizza (at 13.4 per cent) closely followed by meat lovers at (13.3 per cent). Hawaiian was third with 12 per cent.

Margherita pizzas were the preferred option for Victorians (16 per cent), while Supreme pizzas were the most ordered in NSW, Queensland and the ACT (at between 16 to 17 per cent).

Pepperoni was the most ordered pizza in Tasmania, while West Australians went for Meat lovers at 22 per cent.
