Oaks Hotels expands in Queensland with two openings in 2020
Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites has announced two new openings in Queensland for this year.
Making its debut in Queensland’s largest inland city, Toowoomba, the new-build Oaks Toowoomba Hotel will launch in April.
The 102-key, five-storey Oaks Toowoomba Hotel will feature conference and event facilities. Other amenities include an on-site tavern, café and liquor store.
Oaks Cairns Hotel is set to open in winter following an extensive refurbishment. The 76-key, five-storey hotel will feature rooftop restaurant and bar Oak & Vine.
During the day it will serve daily buffet or a la carte breakfast and light lunch options before transforming into a cocktail bar serving Peruvian share plates as well as contemporary Australian Oak & Vine favourites at night.
“We are thrilled to be expanding and refurbishing this iconic retail and commercial property on the prime Esplanade corner into the Oaks Cairns Hotel and giving it new life,” said Craig Hooley, chief operating officer at Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites.
“We are very proud to mark our debut in the ‘Garden City’ of Toowoomba in April, adding to our existing 26 properties in the state of Queensland.”
