Sydney hotelier lists two buildings in Sydney CBD for $60m

Pub owner Kim Maloney has put two buildings in Sydney CBD up for sale with price expectations for the pair at more than $60 million.

The St James Hotel leases the ground and first level of the seven-storey heritage building at 114 Castlereagh Street, while the four-storey building at 139 Elizabeth Street has a mixture of retail tenants.

The buildings back onto each other from Castlereagh and Elizabeth Streets and are being sold in one line.

Maloney also owns the Bondi Hotel, Starbar and the Shark Hotel in Sydney.

“We expect these assets to generate significant interest from high net worth individuals as well as value-add investors who appreciate assets such as this are extremely scarce and rarely come onto the market,” JLL’s James Aroney told The Australian Financial Review.
