Cardboard cutouts in restaurant to stop diners from feeling lonely

A Five Dock Dining restaurant has placed cardboard cutouts at empty tables to stop diners feeling lonely while they eat.

To add to the busy restaurant vibe, the owner also plans to play guest "chatter" through it AV system.

Five Dock Dining owner Frank Angeletta told 7News Sydney he hopes the idea “pays off” during the current statewide cap of 10 patrons.

Five Dock Dining is offering a set menu for $65, and has so far seen it’s first night booked out.
