Maurice Terzini heads west with new restaurant
The owner of Bondi’s The Icebergs Dining Room & Bar is venturing further west with his latest venture which is set to open in Parramatta this September.
Terzini will open a second CicciaBella the help of property developer Lang Walker. Walker was an investor in Otto, Terzini's first Sydney restaurant 20 years ago.
Headed by chef Nic Wong with a focus on cucina classica, CicciaBella Parramatta will be located in the a $2.7 billion retail-business precinct Parramatta Square, which is being developed by the Walker Corporation.
"I looked at the development, and it was pretty much a no brainer," Terzini told Gourmet Traveller.
“It respects traditions, but we'll step it up a notch and bring it into the contemporary."
Terzini is also looking to open a third CicciaBella in Sydney’s CBD.
"I see it being a small kitchen and wine spot, where the menu changes daily, and there's just five reds and five whites [on the drinks list]," he said.
