Matt Moran just days away from new restaurant launch

The Art Gallery of New South Wales will become home to celebrity chef Matt Moran’s new restaurant.

Crafted by Matt Moran will replace the former Chiswick diner.

The all-day dining concept will be overseen by Moran and is a collaboration with Fresh Collective and its executive chef Keith Higginson.

The restaurant will focus on local produce and the finest selection of Australian meat and seafood.

The dining room features views across Sydney Harbour and Woolloomooloo and the menu will be of a season-inspired Mediterranean-style.

On weekdays patrons could expect to see buttermilk lemon scones, crab sliders and bowls of fruit on the menu along with Single O coffee, fresh juice and sparkling wine.

On the weekend menu Sydney rock oysters, corn fritters or croque monsieur will feature.

The drinks menu has been designed by sommelier Samantha Payne and focuses on Australian wines, but doesn’t forget to include some champagne.

There’s also a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, numerous beers and also some ciders.

Crafted by Matt Moran is slated to open on 26 March.

It will be open for mid-week and weekend brunch and long lunches on Wednesday to Fridays from 11am to 4pm and on Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm.
