PepperBerry is Darwin’s restaurant of the year

The winners of the Gold Plate Awards have been announced, with PepperBerry at Hilton Darwin named Restaurant of the Year.

The Gold Plate Awards is the Northern Territory’s hospitality industry’s premier awards night.

500 owners, operators, staff, and supporters were in attendance.

PepperBerry was also named Best Contemporary Restaurant and Best Hotel Restaurant.

The award was presented in front of about 500 owners, operators, staff, and supporters.

Two awards went to Phat Mango for Best New Establishment and the Chief Minister’s Award for Championing Local Produce.

Phat Mango’s neighbour, Moorish, was named Best Stand-Alone restaurant.

The Cavenagh was presented with two awards — Best Steak Restaurant and Best Pub/Club Wine List.

Stone House Wine Bar and Kitchen won the award for Best Restaurant Wine List.

  • Best Tourism Restaurant: Tali Wiru
  • Best Informal Dining / Cafe Restaurant: Sapphire Bar & Grill Berrimah
  • Best International Cuisine Restaurant: Hot Tamale
  • Best Casual Dining: Hotel Darwin
  • Best Club Restaurant: Darwin Trailer Boat Club
  • Best Breakfast Restaurant: Sweet Brew & Co.
  • Best Steak Restaurant: The Cavenagh Hotel
  • City of Darwin Innovation Award: Charlies of Darwin
  • Best Asian Restaurant: Go Sushi X
  • Best Hotel Restaurant: PepperBerry Restaurant at Hilton Darwin
  • Best Restaurant Wine List: Stone House Wine Bar
  • Best Pub/Club Wine List: The Cavenagh Hotel
  • Best Cocktail List: Smoke and Oak
