Dorsett Gold Coast officially opens

Dorsett Gold Coast will officially open its doors and welcome its first guests on Boxing Day. The Gold Coast’s newest upscale hotel boasts 313 vibrant hotel rooms set within The Star Gold Coast’s world-class entertainment and leisure precinct.

Guests will be touched by design elements that capture the local spirit, like artwork created by Gold Coast locals, including the breathtaking chandelier and 750kg sculpted marble check-in desks in the lobby. Delights and surprises can be found inside the hotel rooms, including activations just for kids, like play teepees in family rooms to give the little ones a sense of wonder and fun.

Dorsett Gold Coast General Manager Michael Foster said, “We know that travellers and locals are always on the lookout for new and exciting experiences. As a brand-new build, Dorsett Gold Coast provides a fresh and fun way for people to enjoy the very best of our city. Everyone who checks in will receive a special Dorsett Discoveries booklet, which will provide insider knowledge to our guests so they can live like a local while visiting the Gold Coast.”

With a mission to become a leading force in sustainable travel, Dorsett Gold Coast offers eco-friendly features such as paperless check-in and automatic lighting within the rooms. To provide travellers with peace of mind in the post-COVID landscape, Dorsett Gold Coast has innovated to include health-conscious contactless check-in and other safety features.

Just a stone’s throw away from the golden sands of Broadbeach’s patrolled beaches, Dorsett Hotel guests will enjoy stunning ocean and hinterland views from their rooms. VIP guests will be treated to the stunning Gold Coast panorama from the Executive Lounge on Level 19, with complimentary canapes, drinks and breakfast. The cosy Jin Cafe and Bar beside the lobby provides an intimate space to hide away and relax with a coffee or cocktail.

Dorsett Gold Coast is the ideal accommodation for visitors wanting to discover the very best of the Gold Coast, located within walking distance to Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, safe beaches, popular tourist attractions and dining and entertainment experiences.

The arrival of Dorsett Gold Coast is a sign that the international tourism market is confident in Australia’s tourism market, with the $400 million development funded by The Star Entertainment Group and its consortium partners from Hong Kong, Chow Tai Fook Enterprises and Far East Consortium. New-build Dorsett Hotels are currently also under construction in Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth, set to open in the coming years.
