AFL star headbutted in a cowardly pub attack

One of the AFL’s leading goalkickers was involved in a cowardly attack at a Geelong pub.

Geelong spearhead Jeremy Cameron was watching the fifth Ashes test on Saturday night when he fell victim to an unprovoked attack by a fellow patron.

Cameron was enjoying an after match wind down with teammates and partners when he was confronted.

The AFL star was headbutted for no reason and later had to undergo concussion protocols to clear him for this weekend’s season defining match against Port Adelaide.

The club also notified the AFL’s Integrity Unit.

The club has seen vision of the incident, while police were also made aware.

Cameron is fit to play but does not want to take the matter any further.
