Australians will get a second bite at Shane Delia’s Providoor, after the company relaunched its luxury food delivery service.

Delia founded Providoor in 2020 to provide fine dine eaters with a COVID home food option. The new owner is Rolling Stone Australia and Brag Media owner Sam Benjamin who expects a 'more approachable' price point to attract new customers.

The business closed six months ago owing $6.3million and leaving loyal customers $4.4million with unused gift vouchers.

Providoor will now relaunch with a different model.

From meal kits designed by some of Australia's top restaurants which foodies could prepare and enjoy at home, Providoor will open in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with meal kits and frozen meals created, but not cooked, by famous Australian chefs.

On the menu will be a lasagne by Silvia Colloca, a mushroom burger from Matt Preston and a white-chocolate cheesecake by Anna Polyviou, while Luke Nguyen, Gary Mehigan, Manu Feildel, Justin Narayan and George Calombaris will also contribute.

Sydneysiders who order meals will receive them the following day if ordered before midday. In Brisbane and Melbourne there will be a three-day lead time.

Hot ready meals by Providoor will be on the menu, but only available in Sydney. They can be ordered through Providoor or Uber Eats.
