It’s been nearly 20 years since Ronni Kahn started OzHarvest, rescuing food with just one van and a small group of passionate people. The time has come for her to pass the baton over to a new CEO who will lead them into our next chapter.

Over the past year, the Board and Ronni have been working closely to recruit the very best candidate to be her successor - and we found the perfect person.

OzHarvest is delighted to announce that James Goth will be joining them in March 2024 as our new CEO, while Ronni moves into her new role as Visionary-in-Residence and continue as a member of the Board.

James has a long and impressive business career and will be joining us from the publicly listed Seven Group where he is Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that he held senior executive roles at Woolworths and Boston Consulting Group. He has also served on the boards of non-for-profit ActionAid Australia and data company Quantium.

James brings immense wisdom along with business, operations and leadership experience and a deep personal connection to purpose-driven, not-for-profit work. He is the perfect fit for OzHarvest's family culture, to build on the very strong foundations and lead the organisation into the future.

"OzHarvest is my passion, my purpose, and the reason I get out of bed every day with joy and gratitude. I will always be here in some capacity and for me the role of Visionary-in-Residence will give me time to focus on what I love doing the most – building relationships, innovating, and dreaming big!

Our impact over the last 20 years has been possible thanks to our vast network of incredible supporters, including like-minded corporate partners, committed donors, the wonderful charities we serve and thousands of volunteers who donate their precious time. Everyone connected to our cause brings positivity, hope and goodwill and above all, helps ‘Nourish our Country.’

There is still so much more we need to do, and the issues at the core of our mission have never been more pressing. OzHarvest has never been better placed to influence positive change in Australia and overseas, and I’m deeply grateful for your continued support." says Ronni Kahn.
