A luxury new hotel is set to transform South Australia’s premier beach.

The new luxury $50 million hotel being developed by Taplin Group, will feature sweeping views of the St Vincent Gulf seas and the Adelaide Hills.

“I want to cater for markets which are not currently catered for. Business executives, large families and the long-term visitors,” Tom Taplin, director of Taplin Group said.

“My vision is to attract as many people to Glenelg as possible. To create an exceptional standard where visitors fall so in love with the service they receive that they will come back to experience it again and again.”

Rooms in the 5-star hotel will be marked by state-of-the-art technology, while the hotel will include retail shops and a rooftop bar.

Parking will also be made easy.

As well as the hotel, Taplin is also looking to overhaul Glenelg’s Colley Terrace with a residential tower with over 80 residential one, two, three, and four-bedroom apartments across 12 floors.

Construction of the residential apartments is expected to begin this year.
