Casino restaurant fight sees four teens charged

Four teenagers aged between 15 and 19 are alleged to have been involved in a casino fight involving a hammer.

The teenagers are alleged to have been with a 19-year-old man at the Casino restaurant, which is about 30 kilometres southwest of Lismore in NSW.

Police state, the group “purchased food at the restaurant and moved to an outside dining area”.

“At this location, words were exchanged between the teens and two older males, aged 37 and 41.”

The exchange ended in a fight which saw “all four teens picking up chairs and throwing them at and using them to strike the older males”.

The teens are alleged to have punched and kicked them men before “producing a hammer which was used to strike the 41-year-old male to the face and head area, causing serious facial injuries and fractures”.

The man with head injuries was taken to Lismore Base Hospital.

Police arrested the youths a short distance from the restaurant. Three teens will face the Children’s Court on Sunday, while a fourth was bailed and will face court on Wednesday.

The oldest teen is expected to face an adult court.
