Murder in a Townsville restaurant
A Townsville man has been charged with murder following a stabbing inside a restaurant on Monday.
The incident occurred between two males, 31 years old and 26 years old who were known to each other.
The 31-year-old will face court today charged with murder, enter dwelling and commit, and contravention of domestic violence order.
The incident involved multiple people and emergency services was called at about 4pm Monday. When officers arrived they found a man with multiple serious injuries.
“Despite attempts to revive the man, he was declared deceased at the scene,” a spokesperson said.
A homicide investigation has been launched and investigations are ongoing.
No one else was physically injured.
