Woman almost loses an eye after pub glassing

A Friday night glassing at The Landing in Alkimos Perth has caused severe damage to a woman who now faces the prospect of multiple surgeries.

The woman, who was allegedly glassed in the face after an argument with another patron, was left with a 5cm cut along her face and smaller cuts to her face and head and was lucky not to lose an eye.

The two 20-year-olds are known to each other.

The victim was taken to Joondalup Health Campus after having to pull pieces of glass from her face at the northern suburbs pub.

Surgery was performed on Saturday afternoon to repair the damage caused by the fight.

The aggressor was later arrested at an address in Two Rocks and was charged with unlawful wounding.

She faced the Perth Magistrates Court on Saturday and was released on bail to appear in Joondalup Magistrates Court on September 4.
