Gawler hotel shocked by armed robbery
CCTV footage released by police shows two armed men robbing the Old Bushman Hotel on Cowan St north of Adelaide, before fleeing the scene in a black Mercedes.
The popular pub was robbed by two men, one carrying a gun and the other holding a knife.
The men threatened staff after entering the gaming room and stealing cash.
Police believe the sedan was stolen. CCTV shows the var pulling up in front of the venue and two men exiting the vehicle.
The man holding the knife walks to a counter and threatens staff, with the man with the gun stands guard.
Police believe a third person was the getaway driver and did not exit the car.
The following day a black Mercedes with white interior believed to be the getaway vehicle was found burnt out on Oates Rd, Ward Belt about 5.30am.
Police have appealed for public help to identify the men. Anyone with information relating to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, quoting reference number 24-164M.
