Handful of north coast pubs among 'most violent'

One far north coast and two mid north coast licensed premises are on the latest list of the state's most violent venues.

The list, with just 18 venues named, is the shortest it has been since the scheme was introduced 4 years ago.

Four venues on the latest list recorded 19 or more assaults last year and will operate under level 1 restrictions for the next six months.

The remaining 14 recorded between 12 and 18 incidents last year and will operate under level 2 restrictions.

That list includes Woody's Surf Shack at Byron Bay, the Coffs Harbour Hotel and the Port Macquarie Hotel.

The Port Macquarie Hotel is new to the list and must be in compliance with its new trading restrictions by December the 8th.
