Lenard's recall WA chicken

Poultry retailer Lenard's has had to recall thousands of minced chicken products in WA after wood and metal were found in some goods.

Food Standards Australia New Zealand issued an alert yesterday covering a range of Lenard's products sold between November 27 and 30.

The affected products, which were sold only in WA stores, are sausages, patties, Thai chicken burgers, mini strudels, Lenny Pops, mixed vegetable loaf, hi-top muffins and pinwheels.

FSANZ said the wood and metal could cause injury or present a choking hazard.

Consumers are being warned not to eat any affected products and to return them for a refund.
