Melbourne restaurant destroyed by fire

Firefighters have extinguished a fire at a restaurant in Melbourne's outer east.

About 65 firefighters were on scene after a fire broke out at the Snooty Fox restaurant in Olinda shortly before 9:00pm (AEDT) last night.

No one was inside the restaurant when the fire started.

Firefighters say the restaurant has been completely destroyed and investigators will return in daylight to continue investigations.
