Salmonella probe underway in Coffs

The New South Wales Food Authority is investigating an outbreak of food poisoning at a Coffs Harbour restaurant.

A number of people reportedly became ill and were treated for salmonella after eating at the restaurant which currently cannot be named.

The Food Authority said the matter was referred to it by the Mid North Coast Local Health District.

The Authority said because the investigation is current it can't comment any further on the incident.
