Shute Harbour Marina plans downsized

The developers of a proposed marina development in the Whitsundays have scaled back parts of the project.

The State Government is set to release a supplementary environmental impact statement (EIS) for the Shute Harbour Marina.

The current proposal includes 395 marina berths, the original application was for 733 berths.

The new plan also includes a retirement resort, hotel and community cyclone shelter.

The supplementary EIS will be released on Saturday, with public comment open until late April.
