R&CA welcomes new Small Business and Tourism Ministers

Restaurant & Catering Australia welcomes the appointment of the Small Business and Tourism Ministers to the Federal Labour Government.

The Association is pleased with the Prime Ministers announcement to continue with these two portfolios as these roles are important to the customer service industry.

Mr John Hart, Chief Executive Officer of Restaurant & Catering says "it is important for this industry that there is a strong public policy focus on the tourism and hospitality sector leading into the federal election in mid-September".

Mr Hart added "Minister Gray and Farrell are two respected politicians, that are well known to Restaurant & Catering. Restaurant & Catering looks forward to continued engagement with these Ministers".

R&CA would also like to acknowledge the outstanding service of the Hon Martin Ferguson for his support to the industry.

Mr Hart added "Minister Ferguson is a great supporter and friend of R&CA and I thank him for his assistance over the past few years in developing the National Long-Term Tourism Strategy".
