Expo perfectly timed for industry

Clubs + Hotels Australia 2013 closed yesterday to positive feedback from attendees, speakers and exhibitors. Held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from 30 April to 1 May 2013, the expo was a resounding success, boasting excellent attendance from all sectors of the gaming and hospitality industries. Visitors had the opportunity to view the latest innovations and technology, and to hear from expert industry speakers.

The expo was perfectly timed for an industry affected by the changes to the gaming regulations in Victoria. Highlighting this, seminars by Frank Makryllos from Intralot, and Bruce Thompson from The Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation, were both in hot demand.

Conrad Patrick, Clubs + Hotels 2013 Business Development Manager, said, “The feedback from across the floor has been extremely positive. The success of the event demonstrates that the expo is a key event on the industry calendar, and performs an important function in keeping attendees apprised of the latest industry developments.”

Exhibitors included four of the industry’s largest gaming manufactures: Aristocrat, IGT Australia, Konami, and SHFL Entertainment, in addition to other top names across gaming and hospitality. Konami’s Marketing Manager, Jeremy Alchin, commented “We’re very happy with the decision to exhibit at Clubs + Hotels 2013. The expo is attracting the right visitors and we have been talking to decision makers.”

One of the biggest highlights of the expo was the worldwide launch, by Atlas Gaming of a new gaming machine, the Apollo 2. Other highlights included a concept space by Bate Design, and the barista training workshops run by William Angliss.
