Hotel-motel board keen to maintain golf club relations

The board of the Waikerie Hotel-Motel says it will continue to work closely with the local golf club when its new owners are confirmed in coming days.

Chairman Graeme Thompson says two locals are poised to take up ownership of the club which has been on the market for about 18 months.

He says says he looks forward to maintaining a relationship between the hotel-motel and the club.

"We have already agreed from the hotel's perspective to work very closely with them," he said.

"We'll still be marketing golfing packages and the like and certainly encouraging them to be part of the hotel in terms of accommodation overnight and that sort of thing."
