Free burrito to celebrate new store

ambrero Mexican restaurant will celebrate the opening of its fourth store in Perth by giving away 1000 free burritos in Northbridge on Thursday.

The James Street store is the latest outlet in the chain, which caters to a demand for "Fresh Mex" food that is pocket-friendly and a healthier dining option.

Zambrero Group local area developer Gordon Bain said the company had its sights set on opening another 50 stores in WA over the next five years.

Stores will open in enex100 in the CBD, Scarborough and Margaret River; joining those already in Leederville, Mt Lawley and Subiaco.

Zambrero has joined forces with international humanitarian organisation Action Against Hunger – which aims to end hunger among children – with the Plate4Plate program.

"Plate4Plate highlights the issue of malnutrition by working with Action Against Hunger to provide protein-rich, high-vitamin meals to help strengthen people suffering malnutrition," a Zambrero spokesperson said.

"For every burrito and bowl sold (including the 1000 to be given away) Zambrero pays it forward by giving a plate of food to someone less fortunate through Action Against Hunger."

Zambrero will give away 1000 free burritos from noon tomorrow at the new store at 125 James Street, Northbridge.
