Schulz Organic recalls dairy goods after listeria find

A Victorian organic dairy has been forced to recall some of its milk products after discovering a listeria contamination.

Schulz Organic Farms is withdrawing its one-litre and two-litre full cream milks from stores and home delivery customers have had the milks replaced in the interim.

The company is based in Timboon, about 50 kilometres east of Warrnambool, and has almost 70 stockists throughout Melbourne, with another 15 in Victoria's south-west.

A spokesman for the Victorian health department said the discovery had been made as a result of the company's own testing, and the company had acted appropriately.

He said the milk was not to be consumed.

Customers are advised to seek medical advice if they have fevers, headaches, nausea or are vomiting.
