Mt Tamborine brewery complex for sale

The Mt Tamborine venue, microbrewery and tourist destination in south-east Queensland is up for sale by tycoon Andre Morris.

Morris, who made much of his fortune taking cosmetics company Lush to North America, is selling the 1.8 hectare site, which boasts a boutique brewery capable of producing 2500 litres daily, a cheese factory, tourist shop and generous car and coach parking.

The sale of the freehold going concern comes with Producer/Wholesaler licence. It is being marketed by Glenn Price and Tom Gibson of CBRE, who expect a lot of activity due to the current interest in boutique beer in Australia and world-wide.

“As a freehold going concern, this is the perfect property for a savvy owner occupier or corporate,” said Price.

“The business lines include several well-known local favourites, including the Mount Tamborine Micro-Brewery (MT Beer), Witches Chase Cheese Company and the Liquid Amber Restaurant, all of which have been run successfully under full management.”

“Additionally, for an investor, there is also the ability to lease as four separate tenancies, with 1,360sqm of gross lettable area available.”

Located less than an hour from Brisbane’s CBD and Surfers Paradise, the main building also includes a three bedroom owner’s residence.

Established in 2008, the business requires little or no capital expenditure, and this is the first time it has gone to market.
