Building on the the inner west's thriving cafe culture, cult coffee company Campos has opened a new flagship store in Dulwich Hill. The outlet features baked goods and the roaster's signature espresso, spreading the good bean deeper into Sydney's suburbs.

"We're almost following our original customer base as they move outwards," says Campos owner Will Young. "The original Newtown locals have all moved out to Alexandria and Dulwich Hill and we wanted to extend our reach within the inner west."

The first Campos flagship cafe opened in Newtown in 2002 and was renovated in January to include more seating.

The Dulwich Hill space has a sense of loft-style airiness in line with the pace and vibe of the Newtown and Alexandria stores, although it is significantly larger than the existing cafes.

The new outlet has more food on offer too, touting sandwiches, baguettes and sausage rolls from Campos' bakery Rosetta Stone. Pastries and other sweets are on the menu along with an affogato tasting tray for adventurous bean hunters and a baby affogato for the refined toddler.

Young is predicting "some pretty gorgeous" coffee this summer via a seasonal signature drink menu available across all the Sydney Campos stores. Entries for the signature drink will be submitted by Campos baristas and selected by a judging panel. The best three creations will then be sold in store.
