FOUR people have fallen ill with potentially deadly fish poisoning after eating tuna imported from Thailand and sold at a Sydney cafe.

Health authorities say the customers of Soul Origin takeaway near Town Hall station suffered symptoms of Scombroid poisoning on Monday after ordering tuna salad.

The cafe confirmed yesterday it had since changed brands.

Experts said the poisoning most likely resulted from poor temperature control or other mishandling in Thailand, while the cafe insisted it met the highest hygiene standards.
