A man is in critical condition in Royal Perth Hospital after he was seriously hurt in a brawl outside a Northam pub.

 

 

A MAN is in critical condition in Royal Perth Hospital after he was seriously injured in a brawl outside a Northam pub on Friday night.

The 33-year-old man and a 39-year-old man, both from Northam, were assaulted by several youths outside a licensed premises on Fitzgerald Street about 9.25pm.

Police say the pair left the venue when they were confronted by the youths and a fight erupted.

The 33-year-old suffered serious injuries.

He was taken to Northam Regional Hospital and later flown by the Royal Flying Doctor Service to Royal Perth Hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

The other man was taken to Northam Regional Hospital and treated for minor injuries and later discharged. He is assisting police with their inquiries.

Three men have been arrested by police over the incident and are currently assisting Northam police with their investigation.
