New management trio for Mantra Group's Gold Coast hotels

Leading accommodation provider, Mantra Group, has announced three new management appointments to its Gold Coast hotel operations team. 

Vince King has been promoted to Area Manager for Surfers Paradise Hotels; Katie Scholes is the newly appointed General Manager for Mantra Circle on Cavill and Ben O'Reilly is the new Regional Revenue Manager for the Gold Coast.

Mr King is well known among hospitality circles as current General Manager of Mantra Legends Hotel in Surfers Paradise, and previously as Hotel General Manager of Conrad Jupiters at Broadbeach.

“Vince is a professional operator and maintains very high service standards and excellent communication skills that are an important component to this role,” says Michael Coe, Regional General Manager – Gold Coast.

Properties reporting to Mr King include Mantra Legends Hotel, of which he will remain General Manager, Mantra Wings, BreakFree Aloha, BreakFree Beachpoint, BreakFree Cosmopolitan, BreakFree Imperial Surf and BreakFree Longbeach.

New General Manager of Mantra Circle on Cavill in the heart of Surfers Paradise, Katie Scholes, has broad experience in sales, reservations and rooms management which are elements critical to Mantra Circle on Cavill’s success.

“With Katie’s eye for detail and focus on optimal service delivery, I have no doubt she will be a major benefit to Mantra Circle on Cavill and provide great leadership to its team,” says Mr Coe.

Ms Scholes, joins Mantra Circle on Cavill on the eve of a number of room enhancements planned for the upmarket apartment property.  Together with improvements being made to Circle on Cavill shopping precinct and, on completion, a new conveniently positioned light rail stop at the front door, Mantra Circle on Cavill is set to maintain its prestigious reputation in the Surfers Paradise hotel scene.

Most recently employed with the Rydges Group, and previously with Copthorne Hotels and the Millennium Group in New Zealand and with Swissotel in Sydney, Ms Scholes brings with her a wealth of industry experience.

Another addition to the Gold Coast Mantra team is revenue specialist Ben O'Reilly, previously with the Federal Hotel Group, who has relocated to the holiday hotspot with his family to take on the responsibility of Revenue Manager for the Group’s 22 properties on the Gold Coast across the Peppers, Mantra and BreakFree brands.

Mr O'Reilly will work closely with Gold Coast property general managers, reservations teams and revenue managers to overseeing the daily revenue operation across the region with a key focus on implementing strategies to maximise yield and to attract greater market share.

The new talented team will no doubt enhance Mantra's stronghold as the largest accommodation operator on the Gold Coast.
