Toowoomba's best cafe as voted by you
THE votes are in and Ground Up Espresso has taken out the title of Toowoomba's best cafe.
The laneway cafe in Ruthven St received 26 per cent of the votes in an online poll that asked for readers to vote for their favourite Toowoomba cafe.
Ground Up started out from a store-room turned espresso bar down a quite Toowoomba laneway.
A passion for espresso and people has transformed the CBD refuge into a destination for lovers of coffee, comfort food and cafe culture alike.
Nine cafes appeared in the poll, with the list coming from cafe review website Beanhunter, which ranked cafes across western Queensland based mainly on customer reviews.
Crazy Goat Espresso, which the website ranked western Queensland's best cafe, came second on The Chronicle's online poll.
Ortem, with 10% of the vote, finished third followed by The Finch and Bunker Espresso (both 9%) and Deli Delicios (8%).
